I started this series during the second lockdown in winter 2020. After a whole day spent working from home my "daily exercise" consisted in hanging around Sheperd's Bush, London, with a very old and relatively low-performing Nikon DSLR.

A few people were around, and the only open stores were the ones which dealt with food and essential goods.

I started taking pictures of these places and the surrounding environments, fascinated by the sense of liminality they were providing in that context.

I then kept on occasionally taking that kind of pictures during the following winters.
